Old Vine Coasters

These wonderful coasters come as a set from one piece, sequentially. They are hand made and carefully sealed to resist even the worst of wine spills (egad!). Made from our incredibly Old Vines we use for our large tables, these are a wonderful compliment to any home or business that serves wine. What better way to rest your glass than on a piece of the history that created it?

They are tied in red ribbon and wrapped in tissue before being carefully put in a white gift box. Already wrapped as a gift, its perfect for any holiday or special occasion. And yes, we will gladly mail it directly to your special person with a note from you.

These are coated with a clear UV sealer to protect it from years and years of use and highlight all the decades of growth.

We can also monogram these with your personal or business logo. Price depends on logo complexity and size and amount ordered.  If you are a winery or tasting room and want coasters made from Old Vines with your logo on them as gifts or giveaways, we do have special pricing. Contact us for more info.

Old Shop Keeper Sign

These wonderful signs were inspired by some old signs we saw in France several years ago. Completely made from recycled materials, these unique signs add fun and a bit of frivolity to an otherwise dull job. Old wine barrels are carefully cut and assembled then corks are laid out on both sides and attached.

The rich red color comes entirely from wine. We simply sand and seal with a clear UV protection to preserve the beauty of the oak wood. We can provide several different mounting hardware options depending on your needs. Just let us know and we will be happy to help.

We can use our own corks from all our local wineries or you can supply us with your own corks for no additional charge. Just let us know which one you want and we can tell you how many corks to send us. If you want a custom sign of different size, shape, or words, just let us know and we can get that done for you quickly and inexpensively. We like building these!

Pricing:

Open/Closed - Uncorked/Corked - Wine Bar - Wine Tasting - Tasting Room - Winery name - Your Name - $120

Garden Art Globes

In our continuing effort to be environmentally conscious and recycle, one of our clever artisans came up with this fun filled idea to re-use wine barrel rings in a unique way.

These fun balls are perfect for a nice sunny garden spot. Let the wild flowers grow through them or have some berries entwine them. Our very first one is now a nest for birds.

We also offer these with a hanging Moroccan lamp in the center for a more interesting way to light up your yard or outdoor kitchen. We just love the light  and wonderful shadows it produces in the evening.

We offer several styles:
  • Standard - All rings point the same way
  • Planetary - Two rings run perpendicular to the equator
  • Crossed -  Two rings at off center
Pricing:

All globes are @36" diameter - $25

Add $10 to add a hanging package ( comes with 6' of chain and hanging loops)
Add $30 to add a hanging package and Moroccan hanging candle lantern
Add $40 to add a hanging package, Moroccan lantern, and wired for electricity (max 60w)

Napa Wine Barrel Products for BBQ and Grilling

In our continuing efforts to be 100% green and recycle as much as possible, we are proud to offer this nice selection of varied items for you BBQ and grilling needs. The oak burns nice and hot and the wine leaves a delicious flavor on your grilled items. We just love these for grilling fresh local artichokes.

We have an excellent selection for you to try:
  • Wine Soaked Oak Squares: These were added to barrels to increase the depth and flavor of the wine and after several years, they are carefully stained out, dried, and packaged for your grilling needs.
  • Wine Barrel Staves: Napa Valley wine barrels are carefully taken apart, dried, and cut into long strips before being packaged
  • Wine Barrel Chunks: The same wine barrels from Napa are cut into large chunks instead of strips. Some professional grillers prefer these over everything else.
  • Wine Barrel Blocks: The longer staves are cut into smaller size blocks for easier grilling.
  • Red Wine Soaked Oak Chips: These small pieces of oak are  added to the barrels to increase the flavor of really good wines. Because they are smaller, the wine completely infuses the entire piece. This is our favorite around the BBQ as you don't need much to have a big impact.
  • White Wine Soaked Oak Chips: Sweeter and nuttier than the Red wine. Excellent with fish and oysters!
If you cant make up your mind on which one to try, we have a sampler box that has all of the different wood so you can find your favorite!

To use: just soak them for @15 minutes before you need them. We keep a coffee can by the BBQ and when we start the fire, we add them to the can with a little water to soak while the fire gets going.

If you have a gas grill, many have smoker trays built in or make your own. Take a piece of tinfoil and make a packet (we make ours the size of a hotdog bun to give you an idea of size) and load the wood and water into the foil. When the fire is ready we poke a few holes in the top of the packet with a fork and just put it on the grill right next to the food. It smokes up wonderfully and easy cleanup!

For charcoal or wood BBQ's, just throw it right on the fire!

We don't skimp on filling the boxes. We load each box to the breaking point and they weigh 9-15 pounds each when filled (depending on which product). All of the wood is dry and ready for use.

Also,  we will include some of our favorite recipes in each box that we have tried with the wood. Feel free to send us some of your favorites! We love to cook!

Pricing:

Varies but we make it a good deal: For a USPS Medium Priority Mail box full of samples, $25 shipping is included. Additional shipping to Alaska and Hawaii. Feel free to email us for a quote.

Want something specific? Just ask. Our workshop smells really great when we box these up. Volume discounts available.

Wine Cask Projects

We had the wonderful fortune of purchasing two, 800 gallon oak wine casks. Apart from how amazing these look as is, we are in the process of converting them into one of the following interesting projects:

  • Sitting/Photo booth - Custom fitting one cask to have a built in seat / booth. One side of the cask will be cut open and the entire inside will be sanded and sealed to preserve the wonderful dark red of decades of wine. Maybe a small table?
  • Small wine tasting bar - We will cut a door in one side and line the interior with shelves and wine racks and cut a tasting shelf. One person can stand in side and pour wine.
  • Port and Chocolate station - I'm drooling just thinking of this one...
  • Mobile Bar - Put the whole thing on wheels and roll it around.
  • Merchandise display - Simple, but who can resist looking into one of these mammoth casks?
  • Hidden / Secret room or passageway - built into a wine bar or wine cellar, the whole thing could be a secret stash of aged ports, champagne or bordeax. How about making the whole thing spin and that's the only way to  get into the cellar. These casks are begging for more fun!
Whatever we choose, its going to be a fun project! If you have any ideas or are interested in purchasing one  (or both) of these one of a kind casks, please contact us asap!

Varies upon project

Wine Stave Furniture - 100% Green and Recycled

We have received some requests for custom furniture from various clients and are always willing to try to create something wonderful. We use wine soaked oak staves from a large 40,000 gallon oak tank to construct  these wonderful items. No two are the same and the rich color of the wine soaked oak highlights any room.

For the frames, we were lucky to purchase a 150 year old water tank from a local ranch. After seasoning, cleaning, planing, and sanding, this wood is beyond wonderful and a perfect companion to the oak. The wood is tight grained and has intense color. Very limited. All furniture is numbered and hand signed by the artist.

Pricing:
